The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to explain the types of information Altarum obtains about visitors to our website, how the information is obtained, how the information is used, and how visitors can restrict the disclosure of their information. General
Protecting your privacy is very important to us. We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) about you during your visit to the Altarum website unless you choose to provide it to us. We do, however, collect some data about your visit to our website to help us better understand how the public uses the site and how to make it more helpful. We collect information from visitors who read, browse, and/or download information from our website. Altarum never collects information for commercial marketing or any purpose unrelated to Altarum’s mission and goals.
What is PII?
Information that can be used to distinguish or trace an individual’s identity – such as name, social security number, biometric data records – either alone or when combined with other personal or identifying information that is linked or linkable to a specific individual (e.g., date and place of birth, mother’s maiden name, etc.).

Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We want to make sure our website is a valuable resource that enables visitors like you to find the information you’re seeking. To meet that goal, Altarum and its partners use cookies, session replay/capture or similar technologies to analyze trends, administer the website, track users’ movements around the website, and to gather demographic information about our user base.

Information Collected and Stored Automatically

- IP address (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to a computer when surfing the web)

We use this information for aggregate statistical purposes only. The statistical information allows us to measure the number of visitors to the different sections of the Altarum website and helps us continually evaluate and improve our website's organization and content.
Altarum Database and Mailing List
Altarum maintains a database of interested persons who voluntarily, specifically, and knowingly request to be contacted about Altarum work and activities. This database enables Altarum to send information, which typically includes meeting notices and other important announcements, to such persons.
Altarum does not use or authorize other persons to use Altarum database or mailing list for any purpose other than the purposes stated above.
There are no circumstances under which the Altarum database or mailing list will be sold or exchanged for consideration of any kind. The Altarum database will not be disclosed unless required by law.
Employment
If you have used the Altarum website to seek employment, you may have submitted (through our sites or otherwise) PII. This might include your name, address, telephone number, email address, and any other PII requested in online or offline forms, as well as an electronic or paper copy of your resume/CV. Any of this information is strictly private. No information stored or submitted in such forms will be used for any purpose other than to assess your qualifications as an employee for Altarum.
Correspondence Sent to Altarum Staff
Altarum encourages you to contact staff should you have any questions, comments, or concerns. Regardless of the medium by which you contact Altarum staff -- electronic mail, telephone, fax, or U.S. mail -- the PII you provide will only be stored and used to correspond with you.
Data Subject Rights
Exercising Data Subject Rights. California, Colorado, Virginia, Utah, and Connecticut consumers have certain rights with respect to the collection and use of their PII. Those rights vary by state. As required by the CPRA, we provide detailed information below regarding the data subject rights available to California consumers. Colorado, Virginia, Utah, and Connecticut consumers have similar rights and can find more detail by referencing the applicable US State Privacy Law.
Consumers in some states may also authorize an agent to make data subject requests on their behalf.
Verification of Data Subject Requests. We may ask you to provide information that will enable us to verify your identity in order to comply with your data subject request. When a California or Connecticut consumer authorizes an agent to make a request on their behalf, we may require the agent to provide proof of signed permission from the consumer to submit the request, or we may require the consumer to verify their own identity to us or confirm with us that they provided the agent with permission to submit the request. In some instances, we may decline to honor your request if an exception applies under applicable law. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.

Right to Delete: You may request that we delete any PII about you that we collected from you.
Right to Correct: You may request that we correct any inaccurate PII we maintain about you.
Right to Know: You may request that we provide you with the following information about how we have handled your PII in the 12 months preceding your request:
- The categories of PII we collected about you;
- The categories of sources from which we collected such PII;
- The business or commercial purpose for collecting PII about you;
- The categories of PII about you that we shared or disclosed and the categories of Third Parties with whom we shared or disclosed such PII; and
- The specific pieces of PII we have collected about you.
Right to Receive Information About Onward Disclosures: You may request that we disclose to you:
- The categories of PII that we have collected about you;
- The categories of PII that we have sold or shared about you and the categories of Third Parties to whom the PII was sold or shared; and
- The categories of PII we have disclosed about you for a business purpose and the categories of persons to whom it was disclosed for a business purpose.
Right to Non-Discrimination: You have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your data subject rights. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your data subject rights.
Right to Restrict or Limit the Use of Sensitive PII: You have the right to restrict the use and disclosure of sensitive PII to certain purposes related to the offering of goods or services as listed in the CPRA.
Right to Opt-out of Sharing, Disclosure, or Sale of PII: You have the right to direct us to not share, disclose, or sell your PII.
Other Disclosures
We may be required to disclose your PII to the government or to third parties pursuant to law enforcement inquiries, court orders, subpoenas and similar requests, or when we otherwise believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary or appropriate in connection with any activity that violates the law or may expose us to liability.

Security Statement
For security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, our website also employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
