Laurel Ruesch is a skilled project manager and technical assistance developer with nearly seven years of experience in Medicare and Medicaid integration. Laurel has collaborated with individuals across the healthcare landscape, including health plans, providers, state Medicaid agencies, community-based organizations, and federal government agencies, to support care delivery and integration for vulnerable populations.
Prior to Altarum, Laurel worked as a consultant to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), supporting the development of technical assistance for health plans and providers serving individuals dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid. Laurel brings this federal perspective to support state Medicaid agencies in achieving programmatic goals and assuring compliance with federal rules, regulations, and policies. She is particularly interested in supporting states in integrating Medicare and Medicaid services to improve the coordination of physical and behavioral health services for the dually eligible population.
Laurel holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota.
